Family Literacy for Everyone

Although a break had been previously scheduled, Family Literacy classes will continue as normal.

Las clases de alfabetizacion van a continuar como normal por los semanas que viene.

Learn basic adult education skills through Any Baby Can's Family Literacy program. Parents can learn basic reading, math, language arts and computer skills, English as a second language and parenting skills and child development. Infants and young children are encouraged to come along and participate in developmental activities while being supervised in the same room with their parents. These classes are free of charge and no I.D. is required.

Parenting Classes
Saturdays | Tuesday night | Thursday night | Childcare Provider Training

Parenting classes are an excellent way for moms and dads to improve their parenting skills. These classes are free of charge and free childcare is available during most classes. Parents, grandparents and foster parents are all welcome.

Every Saturday *unless noted

Topics include:

- Child Development: Ages and Stages
- Helping Children Behave Well
- Handling Behavior Problems
- Self-Esteem
- Communication Skills
- Dealing with Stress

English Parenting Classes - Saturdays 9:15am to 10:30 am

Spanish Parenting Classes - Saturdays 3:00pm to 4:00 pm

Childbirth classes provide an excellent way for expecting mothers to prepare for the excitment of childbirth. Learn about the processes of labor and delivery, breathing and relaxation exercises, and what to expect during the pregnancy. Spouses or close friends are encouraged to come along to provide support and learn a number of coaching techniques. There are sessions every month and each session includes four classes. Classes are held Wednesday nights from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. *Childbirth classes cost $25 per couple.
