The first-annual Luau on the Lake
held at Carlos'n Charlie's on September 13, 2003 was
a success raising over $50,000 for Any Baby Can. The
lakeside restaurant was transformed into an authentic
Hawaiian Island beach paradise and will now begin transforming
the lives of Austin children with special needs through
Any Baby Can services.

Among generous sponsors and donors, the
world cuisine was donated by Carlos’n Charlie’s,
Rocco’s Grill, Iron Cactus, Roy’s Austin,
Cool River Café, and Truluck’s and the
authentic Polynesian revue was performed by Austin-based
Tropical Productions.
"The food was amazing. I loved the
Bella Baci (Italian Kisses) from Rocco's and the roasted
whole pig from Cool River Café, said Nancy Harris,
Vice-President of Marketing, Forgent Networks.
